Les crues ont frappé mardi la ville italienne de Venise, submergeant certains de ses sites les plus célèbres, alors que son système de défense contre les inondations ne s’est pas activé et que des intempéries ont continué de frapper de grandes parties du pays. La ville se préparait à un niveau d’eau élevé de 145 centimètres, a déclaré le maire Luigi Brugnaro sur Twitter. La place Saint-Marc est déjà sous eau.
