Pemex reported an oil spill caused by a damaged pipeline in the Gulf of Mexico

According to the EFE news agency, the spill occurred on Thursday 85 km from the city of Ciudad del Carmen (Campeche state). 

The company stated that there was "no impact on personnel or coastal beach areas."

It is not yet known how much oil leaked, how long the leak lasted, or the size of the oil slick.

Several similar incidents have occurred in the Gulf of Mexico recently.
