Cost of post-flood recovery for Nepal estimated  $5 billion

 The country will require approximately $5 billion, The Kathmandu Post reported, citing a government report on the extent of the damage.

The largest expenditure item is infrastructure, at $3.1 billion. Of this amount, more than $2.56 billion will be needed to restore power grids and 13 damaged hydroelectric plants.

Another $481 million is earmarked for the repair and reconstruction of destroyed roads and bridges.
