 Volcanic activity continues on Mount Etna, authorities in Italy have raised alerts to a “yellow” level. 

The volcano, in turmoil for days, has started to emit ash. A plume has risen for miles and black rain has returned. 

The dense dust did not cover only the villages, but also reached Catania, where it invaded the city for hours in the afternoon.
