Floods hit Bangladesh, situation in some parts may worsen, rivers are in rising trend

 

 Flood situation in some parts of Bangladesh may worsen further as the water level in some rivers of different parts of the country is likely to rise in the next 24 hours, according to a bulletin of the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre (FFWC).

However, the 24-hour bulletin issued on Thursday also said the flood situation at some low-lying areas of Sylhet and Sunamganj districts in the northeastern region may remain steady in the next 24 hour.

The Brahmaputra-Jamuna and the Ganges-Padma rivers are in rising trend which may continue in next 48 hours, as per bulletin.
