Keepers of the forest in French Guiana | SLICE

--

The tropical rainforest in French Guiana is an exception in Amazonia: it has been relatively untouched by mankind, and its lush forest cover still stretches over 96% of the country.

Its nature is very unknown by men. But Olivier Dummett, who is collecting cacao deep into the forest to make his own chocolate, and Mmimiséku, who knows all the medicine plants to heal his village, are two exceptions, they guide us to enter into this unknown land.
