Death Toll in Southern China's Typhoon Mujigae Rises to Five

The number of victims of Typhoon Mujigae in southern China has reached five people, local media reported.

 Earlier, four people were reported dead and another 80 injured.

At least 168 people are injured, according to the People's Daily newspaper.

Typhoon Mujigae hit the southern coast of China's Guangdong province on Sunday afternoon.

By Sunday evening, the typhoon reached the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, where, according to media reports, more than 870,000 people were in the disaster area and over 50,000 people have been evacuated.

The disaster has caused damage to agricultural land and has led to the destruction of agricultural buildings.
