2. Temperatures soar across China  & Japan  - heatwave  prompts power crunch warning.

Japan has been reeling under the worst heat wave that the country has seen since 1875. Hundreds of people were treated for heat strokes as the temperatures in Tokyo broke nearly 150 year records for the month of June. Meanwhile, China has also issued a yello walert  for high temperatures and heat waves in various parts of the country.  [WION]

3. Italy suffers extreme temperatures with 22 cities on red alert

 Experts warned that in the coming hours temperatures in southern Italy  could reach 48 degrees Celsius, while in 22 cities including this capital will be declared red alert  for the heat wave.

The African #anticyclone  Charon, largely responsible for the heat wave, will continue to punish this European nation for at least another ten days, according to reports bymeteorologists published on the specialized site 3BMeteo and reported by the television station Sky TG24.
