China on Saturday pledged to actively cooperate with other nations and International organizations in its battle against pollution.

China's newly appointed Environmental Protection Minister Chen Jining made the remarks at a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing annual session of the National People's Congress, China's top legislature.

He said that as a responsible member of the international community, China will enhance its cooperation with others to push forward the smog-choked nation's energy conservation and pollution cut.

  1. China Halts Access to Popular Documentary on Smog ...

China has blocked access online to a documentary about the country’s massive smog problem after hundreds of millions viewed the film and it became a social media sensation.

It has sparked widespread debate and even had an impact on the stock market during the week, with clean technologies seeing a big jump on Monday, the first day of trading after the film started circulating.

But shortly after its release, censors quickly moved in to limit discussion of the film on news websites. They ordered that discussions instead be focused on developments at the so-called twin sessions, top-level political meetings of the National People’s Congress and Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference...............http://www.voanews.com/content/china-halts-access-smog-documentary/2671882.html
