Greece to privatize 71.000 state assets , intends to gain from deals 6 billion euros until 2018

In the framework of the program of overcoming the economic crisis, the Greek government is finalizing the publication of the catalog of state property, which will be offered for sale.

In total, the catalogue will appear about 71 thousand objects, including airports, seaports, hotels, Islands, harbours, sports facilities, etc.

Proceeds from privatization will go to the special national Fund. Most objects will actually be sold and put into long-term lease for 99 years.

The Fund intends to gain from deals 6 billion euros until 2018 and several billion dollars in subsequent years.

At this stage the government managed to sell the port of Piraeus, 14 different regional airports and the main airport of Athens.
