Hurricane Julia Kills Over 20 People In Central America

Hundreds of thousands of people across Central America have been affected by Hurricane Julia as floods and mudslides destroyed homes and infrastructure, leaving 23 people killed, local authorities and media reported.

The death toll from the flash floods and a subsequent landslide in Venezuela's northern region of Aragua has surpassed two dozen, while over 50 people remain missing, the country's Interior, Justice and Peace Minister, Remigio Ceballos, said.
