Strong earthquake in Crete at dawn - magnitude 6.1

A strong earthquake measuring 6 on the Richter scale occurred a few minutes before 2 am off the coast of Crete.

According to the automatic solution of the Geodynamic Institute, the epicenter of the earthquake is located 35 kilometers south of Kassos and east of the prefecture of Lasithi and 35 kilometers south of Kassos. Its focal depth is 62.1 kilometers.
