A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Paleokastro, Lasíthi, Crete, Greece. The tremor was recorded early morning on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at 7:13 am local time, at a shallow depth of 10 km below the surface.

The event was filed by the National Observatory of Athens (NOA), the first seismological agency to report it.
