Dozens dead from heat wave in British Columbia

Dozens of sudden deaths have been reported in B.C. since the weekend, as people swelter in a heat wave that has hung on for five days now.

The dangerous heat wave over Western Canada has entered another day of baking residents with record breaking temperatures - and it is already taking a very deadly toll on vulnerable populations. In British Columbia, the cities of Vancouver, Burnaby, and Surrey have reported at least 125 sudden deaths since Friday - many of them believed to be linked to the scorching weather.
