Roscosmos anuncia el lugar y la hora de la caída de la nave Progress en la Tierra

La Agencia Espacial rusa Roscosmos ha confirmado que el carguero Progress M-27M, que sufrió problemas técnicos tras su lanzamiento el pasado 28 de abril que le impidieron alcanzar la órbita prevista, se desintegrará en contacto con la atmósfera el jueves por la noche o el viernes de madrugada. Algunos fragmentos podrían alcanzar la Tierra.

Over 100 tons of space junk fell on Earth in 2014 (NASA)

More than 600 non-operating satellites, used-up stages of rockets and other pieces of space vehicles burnt last year reentering the atmosphere.

According to the American weekly newspaper Space News, the data was reported by NASA to the UN Committee on the peaceful uses of outer space, where the space junk disposition was discussed.

Russia launches new heavy-class Angara space rocket

Russia successfully carried out the first test launch of a newest heavy-class Angara A5 rocket on Tuesday.

The rocket was launched at Plesetsk cosmodrome in Russia's northern Arkhangelsk region at 08:57 a.m. Moscow Time (0557 GMT), according to the Defense Ministry press service.

Russia first among space junk producers (report)

Russia is occupying a confident first place as the producer of space rubbish orbiting the Earth, says a report published by the Central Research Institute of Mechanical Engineering, a subsidiary of the Russian Space Agency Roscosmos.

Of the 15,900 or so orbital objects classified as space junk, about 6.300 objects were left over by Russia, it says.

Russia to build its own space station

During the coming years, Russia may begin deploying its own high-latitude space station, Kommersant newspaper wrote with reference to a source close to the administration of the Central Research Institute of Machine Engineering. The construction of the station in orbit, the newspaper wrote, is a key aspect of the project for the development of manned space exploration for the period up to 2050.

Η Ρωσία είναι έτοιμη να αναλάβει την τροφοδοσία και την προμήθεια κάθε εξοπλισμού που χρειάζονται οι ρωσοι και αμερικανοί κοσμοναύτες στον Διεθνή Διαστημικό Σταθμό (ISS) αντικαθιστώντας τις απώλειες από την έκρηξη του μη επανδρωμένου διαστημικού σκάφους Antares κατά την εκτόξευσή του από τις εγκαταστάσεις της NASA στη Βιρτζίνια.

«Εάν λάβουμε αίτημα για την επείγουσα τροφοδοσία του Διεθνούς Διαστημικού Σταθμού (ISS) με αμερικανικό φορτίο μέσω δικού μας σκάφους, θα το ικανοποιήσουμε.

Russia Launches Proton-M Rocket with Express-AM6 Telecoms Satellite

Russia launched on Tuesday an Express-series communications satellite on board the Proton-M carrier rocket from the Baikonur space center in Kazakhstan, Federal Space Agency Roscosmos said.
"The launch took place as scheduled at 07.09 p.m. Moscow time [15:09 GMT]," a Roscosmos spokesman told RIA Novosti.
"The separation of the satellite from the Briz-M booster is expected at 04.31 a.m. Moscow time on October 22 [00:31 GMT]," the officil added.

Roscosmos suggests starting the creation of moon base elements and exploration robots

MOSCOW, August 11, /ITAR-TASS/. Russia's moon exploration plans have found reflection in a draft Federal Space Programme (FSP) for a 2016-2025 period, worked by the Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos). The draft FSP envisions that already in 2018 work will be started to develop the elements of a moon base and special-purpose technology that will be required for building it, the newspaper Izvestia writes referring to the document a copy of which it has available.

Izvestia quotes the draft Programme as pointing out that "The 'Manned Flights' avenue of research includes projects to bring into being an on-ground development complex as the prototype of a first-phase moon base consisting of four modules (habitation, laboratory, power, and modernised node) for comprehensive linkage and verification of the adopted architectural and technical solutions".

Angara rocket test-launched from Plesetsk space center gets to designated spot

Strictly in line with the cyclogram (schedule) of the flight, 21 minutes after the launch, the mass-dimensional model of the payload got to the designated spot on Kura testing range...

Russia’s Aerospace Defense Troops have done the first test-launching of a news Russian carrier rocket Angars-1.2PP, a spokesman for the Plesetsk Space Center in northern Russia told ITAR-TASS.
The launch was carried out as scheduled. The preparations and effectuation were supervised by the Commander of Aerospace Troops, Lieutenant-General Alexander Golovko.

Russia postpones Friday's planned launch of Angara space rocket (VIDEO RIANEWS)

The test launch of an Angara space rocket automatically aborted due to “technical issues,” Russian officials said. While the second attempt is scheduled for Saturday, President Putin has ordered the reasons for the launch failure be detailed in one hour.

The launch of the Angara was aborted just few minutes before the start due to “technical issues,” sources in the Russian space agency Roscosmos said. The mission was aborted automatically.

Russia Set to Boost Space Cooperation With India, China

Russia is set to develop its space cooperation with India and China, the head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos Oleg Ostapenko said on Thursday.

“Recently, we received an invitation from Japan to discuss an array of questions,” he added.

The announcement was made amid threats of Russia’s western partners to freeze or cut cooperation with Russia amid tensions over Ukraine and Crimea secession. NASA threatened to cut space ties with Russia, but Roscosmos has yet received no official notifications.

ESA to continue space cooperation with Russia unlike NASA

The European Space Agency (ESA) has no intentions at all of reviewing its space cooperation with Russia, despite the latter’s merger with Crimea and NASA’s recent announcement of pulling out from joint projects with Moscow, weekly reported referring to ESA Director General Jean-Jacques Dordain.

Last week, the US space agency posted on its Twitter and Facebook accounts a statement announcing the suspension of cooperation with Russia in an apparent move of siding with Washington administration’s sanctions in regard to Moscow over the situation in Ukraine.

‘We Did Not Tell NASA to Stop Cooperation With Russia’ – US State Department

The US State Department did not call upon NASA to suspend its contacts with Russia, a spokesperson for the State Department said Thursday.
NASA announced on Wednesday that amid tensions over Ukraine it would freeze cooperation with Russia, excluding collaboration on the International Space Station.
"I know that there were false reports on Thursday claiming that the US State Department told them to do that. As much as I would have liked to give orders to NASA, we do not do that," said State Department spokeswoman Marie Harf.

Το πρόγραμμα Exomars ξεκίνησε. Η Ρωσία δήλωσε ότι θα ενταχθεί στην αποστολή, και θα παραχωρήσει πυραύλους Proton.

Στη Ρωσία άρχισαν οι εργασίες της από κοινού με τους Ευρωπαίους υλοποίησης του προγράμματος ExoMars – της αποστολής στον Άρη ερευνητικών συστημάτων το 2016 και το 2018.

Στον επιστημονικό παραγωγικό Οργανισμό Lavochkin την εκτέλεση του έργου ανέλαβε ειδική ομάδα. Τα θέματα του σχεδιασμού συζητούνται σε στενή επαφή με τους Ευρωπαίους ομολόγους τους.

Η αποστολή ExoMars αρχικά είχε σχεδιαστεί ως ευρωαμερικανική: η ΝΑΣΑ υποσχέθηκε να παραχωρήσει δυο πυραύλους «Άτλας 5». Όμως το φθινόπωρο του 2011 έγινε σαφές ότι με τους πυραύλους θα υπάρχουν προβλήματα. Τότε η Ευρωπαϊκή Υπηρεσία Διαστήματος (ESA) προσκάλεσε στο EχoMars τη Ρωσία ως τρίτο συμμετέχον μέρος.

Το πρόγραμμα ExoMars στην τελική ευθεία...

Η Roskosmos και η Ευρωπαϊκή Υπηρεσία Διαστήματος (ΕΥΔ), θα υπογράψουν στις 14 ή 15 Μαρτίου στο Παρίσι την τελική εκδοχή της συμφωνίας για το κοινό πρόγραμμα του Άρη ExoMars.
Η συνεργασία με τη Ρωσία στο ExoMars εγκρίθηκε το Δεκέμβριο σε υπουργικό επίπεδο των χωρών-μελών της ΕΥΔ σε συνάντηση στη Νεάπολη. Οι ευρωπαίοι ήδη έχουν δαπανήσει για το πρόγραμμα αυτό τουλάχιστον 400 εκατ. ευρώ.
Αρχικά το ExoMars ήταν ευρωαμερικανικό. Όμως για οικονομικούς λόγους η ΝΑΣΑ αποχώρησε από το πρόγραμμα και στα τέλη του 2011 η Ευρωπαϊκή Υπηρεσία Διαστήματος ζήτησε από τη Ρωσία να προσχωρήσει. Συγκεκριμένα η συνεργασία αφορούσε τον πυραύλο-φορέα Proton, λέει ο Διευθυντής του Ινστιτούτου διαστημικών ερευνών της Ρωσικής Ακαδημίας Επιστημών Λεβ Ζιλιόνι:
