25 people rescued 3 dead from Malaysia's missing boat: authorities

Three people on board a boat which sank off Malaysia's Sabah state on North Borneo passed away after being rescued, officials said Sunday.

A boat carrying 31 people, including 28 Chinese tourists and three local crew members, has lost contact with authorities since it sailed from Kota Kinabalu (KK) in the eastern Malaysian state of Sabah on Saturday, the Consulate General of China in KK said Sunday.

67 dead, 57 missing 6 days after Taiwan quake

Authorities said the death toll from the 6.7 magnitude earthquake that hit Tainan city on Saturday morning has risen to 67 as of 9:48 p.m. (local time) on Thursday, with 57 people still unaccounted for.
