EU to scale up offshore wind capacity to 300 GW by 2050 - Global Times
The European Union (EU) aims to increase offshore wind capacity from the current 12 gigawatts (GW) to at least 60 GW by 2030 before further expanding to 300 GW by 2050, according to the EU's strategy on offshore renewable energy issued on Thursday.

Russia and EU discussed Ukraine’s plans to seize Gazprom’s assets
Russian Energy Minister Alexander Novak and Vice-President of the European Commission in charge of Energy Union Maros Sefcovic discussed Ukraine's intention to seize the assets of Gazprom around the world in case the company fails to comply with the Stockholm arbitration court's ruling, an EU diplomatic source familiar with the course of the talks told TASS.
EU outlines plan to counter US steel, aluminium tariffs
The European commissioners on Wednesday gave political endorsement to a proposal aiming to counter the possible US steel and aluminium tariffs, saying the EU stands ready to react "proportionately and fully" in line with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) rules once the US measures affect EU's interest.
