The strong seismic tremor centered near Nea Stira, Evia, that shook Attica was felt over a huge radius.
Beyond Attica and Evia, where citizens were particularly shaken, the tremor was felt in almost the entire Peloponnese, as well as in most of Central Greece and Thessaly. The northwestern Cyclades also felt the earthquake, as did the Sporades.
