With the help of rocket Falcon 9 successfully launched the satellite JCSAT 16

In the night of Sunday, August 14, the American company SpaceX, with the help of rocket Falcon 9 successfully launched a Japanese telecommunications satellite JCSAT commercial purposes 16.

The launch was carried out with U.S. air force base located near the spaceport at Cape Canaveral (Florida).

Satellite JCSAT 16 was developed by the American company Space Systems Loral. It is designed to operate for 15 years. Its mass is about 4.6 tons.

The lower stage of the rocket Falcon 9 successfully landed on offshore platform located in the Atlantic ocean, 600 km from Cape Canaveral, reports the press service of SpaceX.
