ReplyDeleteH Ευρωπαϊκή Ενωση είναι σε πολύ μεγάλο βαθμό εξαρτημένη από το ρωσικό φυσικό αέριο για να μπορέσει να κλείσει άμεσα τις στρόφιγγες εισαγωγής.
«Εάν δεν υπάρξει συμβιβασμός Ρωσίας – ΕΕ στο θέμα της Ουκρανίας και της Κριμαίας, η Ευρώπη δεν θα μπορέσει εύκολα να απεξαρτηθεί από το ρωσικό φυσικό αέριο» τονίζει σε συνέντευξή του στους Financial Times ο διευθύνων Σύμβουλος της Ιταλικής πετρελαϊκής Eni, Πάολο Σκαρόνι.
Η Ε.Ε. θα πρέπει να καταβάλλει γιγάντιες προσπάθειες προκειμένου να διαφοροποιήσει τις ενεργειακές της πηγές, και να μην εξαρτάται από τη Ρωσία, όπως η παραγωγή σχιστολιθικού φυσικού αερίου σε ευρωπαϊκό έδαφος και η αύξηση των εισαγωγών φυσικού αερίου από άλλες χώρες όπως η Αλγερία, η Λιβύη και η Νορβηγία, τονίζειο ο Σκαρόνι.
Η ιταλική Eni κατέχει το 20% στη συμφωνία κατασκευής του ρωσικού αγωγού South Stream, και μαζί με τους υπόλοιπους μετόχους της εταιρείας South Stream Transport, δηλαδή την ρωσική Gazprom, την γερμανική Wintershall και την γαλλική EdF θα διαθέσουν περίπου 10 δισεκατομμύρια δολάρια.

ReplyDelete(Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama told the European Union on Wednesday it cannot rely on the United States alone to reduce its dependency on Russian energy, as relations with Moscow chill over its seizure of Crimea from Ukraine.
Speaking on a visit to Brussels to discuss trade relations and the Ukraine crisis, Obama said concluding a new transatlantic trade pact, now under negotiation, would make it easier for Washington to license more gas exports.
The EU relies on Russia for about a third of its oil and gas, and tensions with Moscow have heightened concerns among its 28 members about the security of their energy supplies.
